| They're building a guided busway between Cambridge and some villages outside of it, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to cycle it while it was still a little wild and not concreted into submission. My ride was my brand new (less than an hour old) Scott Scale 60 (2006 edition). The ride was fairly hard in places as not only was there only ballast to ride on most of the way, but the foliage has been cut back and laid on the ground (which was mostly bramble, cue one flat tyre as I got to Oakington), and there were temporary fences in the way (probably to stop people like me). The bike performed wonderfully (aside from the puncture) and I'm very happy with my purchase, the day and even the bramble scratches on the back of my knee. |
